Our medical practice has posted this on Facebook – We want to highlight to patients, due to a new national government initiative, we are not able to book appointments more than 14 days ahead.
We are going to be monitored on this and penalised if we book appointments outside of this timeframe.
We know this may be frustrating for patients trying to book follow up appointments and it is not how we ideally plan to operate.
We felt it appropriate to highlight this to patients, as patient services staff have to work within these confines.
We appreciate your patience and understanding.
This is obviously not efficient and adds to the frustrations of getting through on the telephone to book appointments. Are you aware of this guidance?
