Healthwatch Staffordshire is the consumer champion for health and social care for adults, children and young people. Our role is to enable people to feedback their views and experiences of the health and social care services they receive and for their input to influence how services are planned and delivered in the future.”

We have a simple ambition, to make health and social care services better for the people who use them in Staffordshire. We are here to understand the needs, experiences and concerns of people who use services and speak out on their behalf.

Healthwatch Staffordshire Advisory Board Member

Healthwatch Staffordshire is the independent champion for local people’s voices in health and social care in Staffordshire, and it is delivered by Engaging Communities Solutions CIC (ECS). Healthwatch Staffordshire, was established in April 2013 with the primary aim of improving the services offered to local people in the areas of NHS health care, adult and children’s social care by collecting their stories of the experiences of receiving care and support then taking these to the decision-makers to seek to influence the improvement of services locally.

We are looking to recruit Advisory Board Members who share our passion for developing Healthwatch Staffordshire as the ‘independent champion’ for NHS, public health and adult and children’s social care services across the County. You will need drive, energy and enthusiasm and the ability to play a leading role in maintaining our vision.

You will need to have experience of organisational development, a knowledge of health and social care landscape, effective cross-sector partnership working with voluntary and community organisations and the ability to involve local people.

So, if you want to play a leading part in shaping the future of a vital organisation which in turn seeks to influence and improve health care and social care services across Staffordshire, then we’d be delighted to hear from you.

If you wish to informally discuss the role, please contact Simon Fogell, Chief Executive Officer, Healthwatch Staffordshire.
