ENGAGEMENT STARTS ON SERVICES FORMERLY AT THE GEORGE BRYAN CENTRE
On 12th February 2019, a fire destroyed the west wing of the George Bryan Centre, based within the grounds of Sir Robert Peel Community Hospital in Tamworth. The centre is owned by Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (MPFT) and it provided an assessment, care and treatment service for working-age adults who are in an acute state of mental illness and a mental health assessment service for people aged over 65.
Temporary arrangements have been in place since the fire and MPFT would like to design permanent solutions.
Four engagement events have been organised for people living in Tamworth, Lichfield and Burton to discuss how best to create outstanding services.
Anyone can attend the events, but we would particularly like to involve people who have used the George Bryan Centre and their family or carers. We would also like to hear from people who live in Burton, Lichfield and Tamworth who have experience of being admitted to St George’s Hospital, Stafford.
