‘Grab a jab’ Vaccination weekend extended.



People are being invited to ‘grab a jab’ this weekend with the launch of new walk-in vaccination clinics across Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire.

Anyone aged 18 or over will be able to receive a first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine without an appointment if they turn up to one of the clinics on Saturday or Sunday.

“Some clinics will cater exclusively for people aged over 40 years old (Astra Zeneca) while others will concentrate on younger people (Pfizer or Moderna).

Anyone who has already booked an appointment for a first or second jab should stick with the appointment.

The following sites will be open for vaccines:

  • Kingston Centre, Fairway, Stafford, ST16 3TW. Wednesday 30th June, 8 am – 4 pm Moderna for 1st doses under ’40s
  • Birches Head Medical Centre,  Diana Rd, Stoke-on-Trent ST1 6RS. Saturday 3rd July, 9 am-2 pm. Pfizer for 1st dose under 40s. Astra Zeneca.  2nd dose 8 weeks+ for over 40s.
  • Equality House Community Centre, Behind the Central Mosque in Hanley, Stoke- on Trent,  ST1 4DP.  Friday 2nd July, 12 pm-4 pm. Moderna for under 40’s 1st doses ( there will be a small amount of Astra Zeneca for over 40’s 2nd doses also)
  • Staffordshire University, College Rd, Stoke-on-Trent ST4 2DE.  Saturday 3rd July. 10 am- 3 pm. Pfizer, under 40’s first and second dose.
  • Springfield’s Health Centre & Well Being Clinic, Rugeley,  WS15 2FH.  Saturday 3rd July.  1.30 pm-4.30 pm.  Pfizer, under 40’s first dose
  • Loomer Road Surgery,  Loomer Rd, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Newcastle,  ST5 7JS.  Thursday 1st July 4 pm-7 pm. Over 40’s Astra Zeneca, first and second dose. Under ’40s, Pfizer first dose.
  • Hillspring Surgery, Ashwell Rd, Hartshill, Stoke-on-Trent,  ST4 6AT.  Saturday 3rd July 10 am-1 pm. Over 40’s  Astra Zeneca, first and second dose. Under 40’s, Pfizer first dose.
