Re-opening of schools in Staffordshire for the new term 2021

To support public health efforts during the return to school and college in January, secondary schools and colleges will prepare for a phased return to face-to-face provision at the start of the new term. Secondary schools and colleges will have access to additional coronavirus (COVID-19) testing from the start of January. This will help to keep as many pupils and students in school and college as possible beyond the start of the new term, and minimise the spread of the virus.

All primary schools in Staffordshire will be opening as usual barring exceptional circumstances, while secondary schools are closed to everyone apart from the children of key workers and those considered vulnerable. Year 11 and 13 pupils will be taught online.

Home to School transport will be running as usual for those entitled to it.

From Monday, 11th January, Year 11 and 13 pupils will physically attend school and college, while Years 7, 8, 9, 10 and 12 will be taught online.

From Monday, 18th January, all secondary and college pupils are expected to return to the classroom.
