Transforming Health and Care services in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent
In March this year, work to transform health and care services in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent was paused, to allow partners to focus on the response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Now, the local health and care partnership, Together We’re Better, which is made up of NHS organisations, local government and voluntary and third sector organisations, is beginning to look to the future.
Health and care organisations have had to rapidly adapt and introduce new ways of working to deliver services safely during the pandemic.
Partners are working together to restore services, safely and as quickly as possible. However, we recognise that COVID-19 will be with us for some time to come, and we will need to continue to work differently to manage demand now and in the event of a second surge.
We are keen involve stakeholders, staff and service users in our work to restore services both now and for the future. We want to understand people’s experiences during the pandemic and any challenges in accessing health and care services. We also know that the pandemic has accelerated many of our priorities, including digital working and integration, and we’re keen to understand any potential benefits or negative impact of these new ways of working.
We would like to invite you to attend an online event on 13 August at 11.30am to inform our next steps. This will be the beginning of our conversation with service users, staff and partners as we develop our plans for the future.
